I've been watching Hell Girl on netflix recently. I'm glad I've stuck with it despite how much it annoyed me that they reused about 1/5th of the animation in the first 7/8 episodes. It's got a pretty awesome sound track too.

huhhh anime

I watched Angel Beats with my girlfriend, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that what I had initially perceived as a vapid, directionless series quickly evolved into an interesting, meaningful story which left me introspecting for many hours afterwards. They manage to depict a tasteful plot with a bittersweet resolution in only 13 episodes. It may be my new favorite series. I really would recommend it to everyone, just be patient with the first few episodes.
