I wish they would have just polished and streamlined the original, maybe added the generic cover based combat instead of taking out all the weapon customization. Sure, the mako handled like a lawnmower and turning a sniper rifle into a rail gun with explosive ammo and rail extensions probably needed fixing but I just wish they didn't scrap it all http://www.tf2items.com/id/lv15gamer - backpack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kwvC8WlNuQÂ - tf2 replay |

Tonight I learned that Banshees have an autokill attack. This further increases my sentiments from "Fuck Banshees" to "Fuck Banshees Forever."

There were some irritating parts about the way it controlled and some bs missions, but the rest of the hate just comes from the bandwagon. |

the mako was a timesink. The first dozen times driving it around, cool, fun. But after that I wanted to just skip the drawn-out search and skip to the quest elements. Made me feel like I was endlessly searching the forbidden zone, like this
Mutants of 2051 A.D. The repetition of the mako made it akin to fetch quests, which used to be a cost-effective way of extend gameplay but now is getting stale. The Hammerhead DLC for ME2 was a great improvement - it was fun to control, the maps/levels for it were unique (if a bit small) and had interesting bits around each turn, and the combat was pretty ok. In the mass effect world, bioware's ultimate strength was in character development, character dialogue, voice acting, and generally pretty interesting plot, backstory, and plot twists. They were weak in open-world exploration and indoor corridor crawls. The other side of the coin, for me, is bethesda. The ultimate strength of the morrowind/oblivion/skyrim was drop-dead gorgeous open worlds that were fun to just walk around in and see the vistas, with decent random or unique encounters (indoor areas were variable, sometimes good, sometimes boring and predictable corridor crawls). Conversely, I found the elder scrolls characters to be shallow, the dialogue predictable and repetitive, the voice acting wooden, and the plot never truly engaging (sometimes good spots, sometimes bad, but never gripping). I would like to see bioware and bethesda collaborate on a game, with each focusing on their strengths. |

I was expecting the ending to be better than everyone was saying. I was disappointed.
