Laptop won't start up. Just sits there, dead.
Not sure if the machine itself is broken or if the battery is just dead and the charging cable is broken. |

2 or so weeks ago i had the worst day that i've had in a month timeframe or so.
got into work. told i had to head down to the point (this is generally seen as shit work and for good reason) and clean a puddle. so i had left a gatorade with my name on it in the rec office fridge. that was gone. so no drinks. also it was (or at least felt like) the hottest day so far at the time (still was the hottest day i remember). so driving back up to pool office to get directions, mildy irritated. unthinkingly lock the keys in my car. which was parked in an unloading area that everyone parks in if they're going to be in and out of the office (like me). nothing unlocks it, they even had a slimjim and it didn't unlock, so we spent like 20 minutes with me pissed and freaking. so my boss (brian is a boss guy beyind being a boss) drives me down and is all like "you're taking a roller so you'd likely need the truck anyway, it's all good" and i leave in a truck older than i am. make it down, get directed to the place where the puddle is. there's some water outside the building. i tell the guy in charge where the puddle is. he says outside. i spend 2 or so hours pushing water around outside. help did arrive from other parks (with blowers to boot!) but i was by myself for the first hour and they left after an hour since i wanted to make sure it got gone. at points i was feeling lightheaded and sick to my stomach (yay no hydration!) so i kinda had to rush my ass to the water fountain. driving home i misjudge the space available when coming to a stoplight and block the box and some middle aged guy shouts at me from his car. that hurt the most for whatever reason. rest of the day was rather uneventful until i cleaned the bathroom and one of the toilets in the ladies room had piss, shit, and rag in it. |

Found out today that my grandmother is going to need chemotherapy. She's cancer free right now thanks to a surgery a couple weeks ago that involved taking out several inches of colon, but the doc says that if she doesn't do the chemo that there's a 50/50 shot of the cancer returning soon.

I have been given an opportunity to earn 8 hours of overtime, starting at the end of my usual shift today.
It was hinted that this fabulous opportunity was not to be turned down. BREAKING NEWS But my friend the team lead didn't want me working a double before my stressful Monday morning shift, so he pulled rank and "took away" those overtime hours from me. He'll work them instead. Thanks, buddy.

Clutch cable snapped on the bike. Luckily I only had to push it up one hill and the temperature hadn't climbed to 100 degrees yet.

is your bike made from cardboard and shoestrings? (grats btw, on the McGuyver quality build)Â you seem to always be complaining about it breaking.Â

ÂWell I have done a lot of work on it, but some of that is because of my own curiosity. Most of it is just routine maintenance. I'm 90 percent sure that when I the mechanic ordered the cable I got the wrong one. I haven't done any business with that mechanic since. But yeah, it seems like I'm pretty unlucky with engines. 2/3 vehicles I have owned have had engine failures. The bike had a shit pump in it and I could have averted all problems with the engine by just replacing that before damage was caused but I didn't know because I'm still relatively nooby as far as mechanics goes. My current car had a piston blow through the cylinder wall. My first car (which was a beater) ran great until the transmission blew to shit but that's what happens when you have a high mileage car with unknown maintenance history. Just got informed that my hours are being reduced 4 hours per week to control costs. This came from the client, not my company. In the end, it doesn't really affect me at all since my wife's yearly raise more than offsets what I'm losing.

Hitting max HP regularly dips efficiency into the low-mid 20s. Admittedly, there are precious few engines that have that level of flexibility of use going from a demure sipping grocery-getter to making all 4 scream like demons (not to mention are as bulletproof). |

I'm still salty I'll have to use another program simultaneously due to lazy programmers. Edit: used Joy2key and the button inputs worked but the directional pad did not. I tried assigning it to the arrow keys but the game still only recognizes inputs from the arrows on the keyboard, not the pad.
