I just recently played this because at0m heard I had not played it. I played the original then Human Revolution nearly back-to-back. No comparison, the original had more freedom, more options, better plot, better dialogue, and better gameplay. So the graphics are a little dated....so what.

Shifter mod.  There's also probably some model or texture packs out there too.

seriously, i realized this was a brilliant game as soon as it fucking made me think about the actions im doing rather than just smoking through the missions

I realized that from the first mission. It allows you to do I'd say around 3 main different ways to play
1. As a hacker lethal/non-lethal/mix
2. Stealth - mainly non-lethal
3. Full blown guns shooting - totally lethal'

Like with the first mission if you don't kill anyone and let the guy go in the end everyone commends you on not killing anyone and saving the hostages and rips on you for letting the bad guy go.

Rilnac got me it when it was on sale and I already beat the game as a mixed hacker. It was lots of fun. It's about 35 hours of game play.

I really think there needed to be more side missions unless I missed a lot I only had around 10 side missions.

Shifter mod.  There's also probably some model or texture packs out there too.
[/quote]There is an HD texture pack that makes the game nice and pretty again, and is compatible with Shifter. Shifter, while increasing replayability, kinda broke the game IMO with its unique weapon additions. But a good effort, especially when it came to fixing some of the nastier dialogue glitches and adding a handful of side quests.

I have also never beaten it.  I got super far but then my laptop got semi-corrupted, save file included.
