If I had a choice to ride a motorcycle across country I would... But you can't exactly carry film equipment on the back.

[/quote]One of my coworkers has one that's about 4x6ish, and has a watertight box on it that looks like a small coffin. He drives a hog though, so it makes sense.

On a somewhat related note, I almost got sideswiped by some oblivious asshole in an SUV today. I feel safer with metal between myself and morons on the road.

Vehicles are driven, horses are ridden. I do not ask the motorcycle to stay upright through a decreasing-radius left turn, nor do I simply hold on as it happens under me. I deliberately put it there and the consequences for failure are mine to bear. I will not have an excuse along the lines of "the bike got away from me so I jumped off."
