[/quote] The commonwealths (UK, NZ, CA, AU, etc) do like the queen, and they like Prince William. However, they don't like her husband, and are pretty split on Harry. So if either one of them were to take the crown, you could probably say goodbye to the commonwealths. I don't remember exact numbers, but it's pretty expensive to have someone in power who really has no power these days. The crown is mostly ceremonial, with politics handled by the local parliaments and prime ministers. Sure the queen can step in if she needs to and run her countries, but that's rare. In a time before Canada was Canada, Hamilton(my home) was founded by Loyalists. We love our Royals. Even when Charles and Camilla showed up a few years ago, they still had thousands show up for a peek. There's a statue of Queen Victoria from her heyday in the heart of downtown.

I am very disturbed by this article. The man it's about is me, just from a different style of life, and if I was in a different set of circumstances, I can honestly say that everything that he did is well within my grasp of doing and justification. |

In other political news, Romney is quite possibly the Mayor Of Whoville.

So I drew a dwarf to use for a picture in a game it turned out I couldn't even install, but I liked the drawing and decided to use it for my steam avatar.
This is the dwarf. When I uploaded it, nothing showed up, but every other picture worked. I made a copy of the dwarf in another file format. No dwarf. I screencapped the dwarf and cropped it. No dwarf. So I just decided to draw some blood spatter on this goddamn dwarf because of the problems it'd given me. And then it worked. Uploading a picture of a dwarf ended in bloodshed. |
