[/quote] It's an Arbor (my best guess is a fish), and a well-worn one at that. The tape is brand new (the dirt is from one ride today) but the bearings are old. The previous owner did not take great care and some bearings are damaged or dry. I gave it a thorough cleaning and lubing before I took it out and it rides really well considering the state of the bearings. Unfortunately they are shield snap-ins which means I need to buy a whole new set eventually. New wheels couldn't hurt either. It carves like a steaknife, though. https://www.dropbox.com/s/7wiuyme03g2zdh...130797.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/n44vrddj4cufni...214679.jpg The pink tape really does not bother me. In fact I kinda like it. |

So in addition to my above post I got a free ticket to Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood of Whose Line fame tonight. It was definitely one of the funniest things I have ever seen, and I spent a lot of time on the internet. They did a lot of great Whose Line style games and improv in addition to a few things they never did on the show, like lay out 125 mouse traps on the stage and play the alphabet game while blindfolded.

So this Halo 4 remix comp I entered has 10 sets of prizes, one for each region. Canada gets it's own prizes, and I'm currently sitting in 2nd place among entries from Canada.

Just chatting at work, got to talking with my manager, who I now know is into FPS's; he got me into Gotham City Impostors and he likes the TF2 links I sent him.
This morning I got a Steam invite from my boss and I clicked Accept. I never thought that I would let that happen. |

Similarly, I saw the Steam icon on one of my pchem TA's laptop when we were going over my lap report. He didn't strike me as the type to really play video games so it was a pleasant surprise. Haven't had the chance to ask what games he plays though. ask me about mpreg |

He had the retail Windows Live version of GCI, and now he's really enjoying gibbing all the free-to-play newbs on the Steam version. We understood each other.

I have yet to meet a single coworker who really understands PC gaming. I've met a few who play consoles, and get excited when I hear they're anticipating games I'm also anticipating, then realize they'll be playing on EXBAWXLIVE and cry myself to sleep.

If it's being delivered by USPS, you have to tell them you want to pick it up at the post office (usually by filling out a door tag) and then the next day they'll collecte the tag and the day after that you can get it at the post office. Different procedures and timelines apply for UPS and FedEx. "If you want to be a Double E, bend over and grab your knees...." "Atom is Sexy!" <-- Donate your own pic to the cause! There was no note left and no exception description on the online tracker. I live in an apartment complex with car gates and the delivery attempt was in the evening when the office was closed. Getting to my door would have required the driver to get out of the truck and walk to bypass the car gate. I am guessing that this was an insurmountable task or something. Edit: Found a more detailed explanation on the FedEx website. "Business Closed" Time to visit the post office and get my shit.

FedEx gets it to the closest post office near your place however the fuck they can do it the cheapest, then gets USPS to do the final delivery. So much for rain, sleet, and snow, eh? Went to a job fair today, it was pretty intimidating at first but by the end I was fairly comfortable. I got to talk to a Blizzard rep and learned that my JAVA skills are not as obsolete in the gaming world as I previously thought, apparently battle.net is entirely based in java. Hopefully some of these contacts I made will turn into something substantial Â

Today's been one of my better days I've had in a while. I've noticed my belly shrinking from my exercising for the past two months; soon I should be in smaller size pants and never in my old ones again. I have forgiven myself for my past transgressions and have been applying all the lessons learned to better myself (unfortunately tact is still something I'm working on). I went to the local community college after work today to begin my education anew and transfer to a major university when I'm finished with the couple classes I need to complete. A couple Christmas gifts I ordered for the extended family have come in. I've also been toying around with the idea of making a tumblr account to put my thoughts onto paper. And either tomorrow or Friday, I'm making banana bread. I had forgotten how euphoric the feeling of epiphany is when you've discovered that you have furthered yourself in life.
Any votes yeah or neigh on tumblr? I've been needing something to express my thoughts and opinions on. |
