whenever i've looked, theatrical prescription lenses were hideously expensive. How much were those?

These were like $10 or so per eye. MAYBE $20, can't remember.

Kaese: I got them here http://www.youknowit.com/online-shop/fre...792427.cfm

They fit poorly though. One eye is fine, but my left eye isn't. Every time I blink, my eyelid drags it up. So, there's that possibility.

Hmm $30 per eye for me, that's a bit too expensive for disposables imo. As for the lens sliding around, that's just a problem of the base curve fit.
I usually order my lenses from http://www.pinkyparadise.com/default.asp. A bit more reasonably priced, ~$20 per pair + shipping.

Normally not an issue with contacts. They are usually fitted to avoid that.

yep that's it. I think it was spore or someone said he was coaxing a wasp into his eye at work or something.

ugh the photoshop...
I don't think having contact lens on eye and having wasp on eye are on the same level of scariness.
Unless, of course the lens ripped into two pieces, then I would imagine it to be an equally terrible experience as having a wasp on your eye.
