Truth, splurged on an FX-8150 after the last cpu pringled on me, still having trouble. Maybe the release version will fix that shit.

Oh god, tonight i spent five hours taking one base, falling back to another, defending that base, and retaking the first.  Repeat.

To those who don't track this thread much or have just gotten in the beta:

Ok so was going to play last night, nope, crash instantly when starting, then I got a patch and played for about 45min, then again this morning before I left for work.

Its fun, but at least solo, there is a lot left to be desired.


Good Stuff:
- Its pretty, turned everything up to high, even the stuff they say not to turn up that will decrease performance, still pulling a very good frame rate
- Actual Night Time / Light effects
- Killing stuff seems satisfying
- Picking between multiple spawn points
- Scale

Bad Stuff:
- Battles still felt small and isolated, there's a lot of empty terrain that feels really unused, though I imagine this will feel different depending on the time of the day and what not.
- Vehicle diversity, or rather lack there of
- No terrain feels suitable for vehicles, and tanks are slow as fuck
- Radar/Minimap are wholly ineffectual, this leads to some other problems later on

Ugly stuff:
- I have no idea where shots are coming from, where enemies are, or otherwise. Even at mid to close range I can have IFF problems. Maybe Im missing a setting or something, but the radar is just garbage as it is
- Survivability is pittiful, no self heal/repair, ammo looting, and vehicles die WAY too quickly
- Cert points, wow these come slowy, and everything costs a lot...
- Most encounters, whether I won or lost them were simply who snuck up on who, see: Terrible Radar
- MAX Units are a gigantic waste, especially when I can down one at mid/close range with the default battle rifle

Would greatly appreciate a larger group to play with tonight...

Some of the figuring out where you're being shot from and IFF gets better with practice.  Most of my FF stuff comes from ppl jumping in front of me.

- Minimalist Hud Mode
- Turn off viewmodels/cockpits

I like being able to see what Im doing
