We've always known this.  But even by the standards of someone who is CHEATING that chain-grab is nasty.  The only consolation is that it is probably the hardest move to do in the game, and doing it 10+ times in a row is an amazing feat of skill.  The amount of time you have to re-grab is just a few frames.

ice climbers chain grab you still have to knock them out eventually, iirc there aren't any attacks that will knock people off the screen via the chain grab

and my two cents i just say shut up and play it, fuck rules that aren't a standard on how the matches should be set up (timers, stocks, etc.) let people play how they want to play, if it isn't game breaking (ie like black hole glitch in SSBM) let them do it. for fucks sake we don't ban infinites in the fighting game community and those can actually kill characters and once a character is dead they don't come back like in smash

also i still am a vehement believer of items should be turned on, except for the items that have items inside of them (barrel, capsules, whatnot)

also as someone who can consistently do 1-frame links the chain grab is easy in comparison. the solution is simple though: don't get in a situation where they can grab you, their tools for the most part suck EXCEPT for the chain grab.

i however do completely relish in the fact sakurai hates the idea of smash bros. being a competitive game and with each entry proceeds to take out every single aspect the competitive players liked. and i agree, because the community is for the most part god awful knew a guy who went to a tournament at a convention, there were no rules posted for the tournament other than the match rules and no items, so he goes around chain grabbing with ice climbers and halfway through the tournament they just decide to disqualify him and when he argues it saying its their fault for not specifying rules they call con security and have him removed from the convention

Back in high school, I downloaded a work print version of Idle Hands. The interesting part was that the entire film was comprised of 'B' cuts, scenes which never made it into the final film.
I was surprised to see, years later, the official cut off the film. Needless to say, I felt the pirated copy was much better. Good luck ever finding it again.
