Trouble with HD 7850

Hey guys

I recently picked up a HIS HD 7850 2GB. I cleared my old drivers and installed the new ones but the card is still not detected. It only shows up as standard vga adapter. I've reseated it several times and have cleared the cmos, and still nothing. My mobo is a bit old, it's a gigabyte p35-ds3l, could that be the problem? I'm gonna test it in my brothers rig tomorrow to see if it might be the card.  I'm running out of ideas of what to do, you guys got any ideas?

In your device manager, open the properties for the 'standard vga adapter' and find the Details tab. Go to 'Hardware IDs' on the drop down and look for the PCI/VEN string.
It should read: PCI/VEN_<numbers>&DEV_<morenumbers>&<someothercrap).

You want to confirm the VEN_ and DEV_ ids. Your vender ID should be 1002 and I think your device id should be 6819.

You may need to manually load the driver onto the device.
