So the vortex (max lancer) is pretty much worthless it seems compared to the other new max weapons and the already existing comet (which was buffed).
In the amount of time it takes to fully charge a vortex, you can fire two comet shots. The comets will do 950 damage combined, and their projectile speed is fast enough that it's really easy to hit any target within 300-400m of you. Zero damage degradation obviously. Meanwhile, a fully charged vortex will only do a grand total of around 300-400 damage... and that's only within 150m or so. It loses even more damage the longer the range is, which is funny considering the only upside of a vortex is supposed to be that it's so fast/accurate that its good at hitting things at any range. Couple that with the fact that you have to get two of them (1400sc) and you get something that has literally half (or more depending on range) of the max damage output of comets, which are effective within 300-400m anyways because their projectile speeds are so fast, you get a new max weapon that is pretty useless. You can't even zoom in with them like you can with the lancer. |

In other news, the harasser seems like it has serious potential for harassing things due to the number of different things you can cert it out with.

I can't see using anything but the fury on my harasser. Get a decent gunner and you can keep moving. I loved running circles around lightinings with Didzo XD

Gonna echo Mongoose here.
Playing the game feels tiring now. A lot of the bases are now even bigger meatgrinders than before and some of the good battle lines were removed. Some of the decisions look arbitrary. Whoever has more bodies gets the base. Simple as that. FPS is stuck at mid-20s and being smart and breaking in behind enemy lines or assaulting from the side is useless as well. Why? There are too many people to make tactics a viable option. The lattice system is a step in the right direction, but it needs heavy tweaking. More flexibility in capture order is needed and auxiliary bases that can give regional buffs would be nice as well... Anything that will reduce the grinds and promote any degree of tactical thinking. |

I dunno I was playing by myself today and I'm loving the lattice and new changes
Flash's don't handle like shit anymore and the EMP grenades/recon darts actually give you assist XP now which is great for infils like me. |
