Czech if a very quiet country, nobody here greats each other, but despite that most people are very friendly if you at least attempt to speak the language.

Most everywhere but France will cut you slack on language if you're willing to try to speak theirs.
And the French won't give you shit either so long as you don't have an (especially American) English accent. Ask them to speak English, they say 'fuck you!' . Speak broken French with a Chinese accent, they say 'do you speak English?'. Source: my own experience and that of a couple of my service techs.
