In all seriousness, I'm not sure how much I shared about my motivations to join the Army, I had always wanted to be in the military, but I was living with an Aunt at the time who decided I could support myself off the crappy $10/hr job I had secured, but even with as little as it costs to live around here, that just doesn't work.  So that helped me walk into the recruiters.

I'm not saying go join the military, as that life may just be, flat out, not compatible with your life.  But there are several service based organizations that don't pay much, but do provide you with a place to stay while you serve.

At my rate of ALMOST full time, I make roughly 900 a month, but I make a decent amount above min. wage , which is what Eks is gonna be looking at to start. my guess is if he managed to snag full he'd get maybe... 750ish-800ish? Also he lives in the shittiest part of Ohio for jearbs.

I agree with at0m, knowing E's situation as much as I think I do I don't think his mom would make it without his support but I may not know as much as I  think I do.

But Ekarus if you put you're mind to it you can find a job and a cheap place to live. Get out of the control of your mom. Once you're away don't ever give her money, that's not the way it should work especially since you wouldn't be using her utilities or food.

Woke up to my grandparents threatening to turn my mom in which sparks unpleasant thoughts (she has stolen thousands from them before). I call my grandma. I get unloaded with alot of things like because of her they are thinking of selling their house due to the amount of money my mother has leeched from them with the promise of being payed back. Their relationship is in a shambles because of it. I need to move out before october because my mom and brother and moving to a two room and can't even afford a car anymore and I have no job and nowhere planned. ANDI HAVE NO IDEA IF I AM GOING TO BE ABLE TO GO TO COLLEGE THIS SEMESTER.

I bitched about working as one a lot, but look for security companies around your area (Securitas, Guardsmark, G4S, etc.). They'll pay more than a fast food joint (Highly dependent on the account) and have varied enough shifts that you can probably work it around your school schedule.

Aw hell, when I got hired with securitas they saliva tested me for drugs. From what I can tell, that only goes back the previous 24 hours.

Yes, this is very common in factories. It's also common to administer breathalyzer tests if you're thought to be drinking before or on the job.
