in the day and age of video/phone conferencing,  that sir,  is unacceptable.      Take the long route and own them in mileage expense .

Just in-general feel shit about everything. I'm doubting myself in a bunch of ways and kind of just want to drown that out in alcohol.

unfortunately, it's for the state, you give them the address, they compute the mileage.

actually my old job started making us to break it down to daily mileage because they were tired of people trying round up on the weekly total, so I broke it down by leg, and rounded up to the nearest 5.  Before I was rounding a little... rounding up on a minimum of 2 legs a day 5 days a week... my mileage went through the roof.  And the dumb fucks didn't even notice.

Just keep plugging away at it and let your passion shine through. I got my dream job somehow after going through what you are but for like 2.5 years.

Open an account with a credit union instead, you'll be a shareholder and only people with accounts can be shareholders, not other holding companies like the national banks can have. As long as you do something else like savings or loan or even insurance through them, you'll save a ton of money. You can write checks have a debit card and get PayPal linked to it.

I actually agree with this, there are tons of different credit unions you can use. Some may be exclusive to employment (but you can often get grandfathered in). But there are also localized credit unions as well.

All of this. Fuck banks and their bullshit. I was lucky enough that my mom works for Navy Federal so I was able to get an account with them even though I'm not in the military. My university also had some deals with other credit unions that I could have joined as an alumni. My employer has a deal with a credit union as well, so there were plenty of options. My point with all of that is to keep your eyes peeled and check with any organizations you're part of, you might be surprised which ones have deals like this with credit unions.
