Is anyone getting in on this? I'm starting the download now. It is supposed to be a free game in the style of Diablo II, Torchlight, etc.

It's definitely not the best ARPG I've ever played but it's pretty decent. The merchant system is weird. I like it more than D3 mechanics wise but it could use a lot of polish.

Hack and slashes rarely remain interesting for longer than 30 minutes.

picked this up, pretty fun. Started a witch and a duelist. Its nice when you can play a F2P without dishing out the dough to get good items.

[/quote] Mechanics wise it's top notch. The map looks like it's from an NES game. I keep accidentally picking up worthless loot. The graphics are not great and would be fine if it were easier to tell what is going on when I get attacked by hordes, especially in dark maps. I'm also not a fan of the merchant system, especially when I can't seem to buy identify scrolls. The game is fun, it just needs polish on some user interaction issues. |

Hmmm, the way I see it, the graphics are intentional as it's meant to be a sort-of spiritual successor to D2. They hit it bang on in my view. As far as selling goes, loot more. It was kind of a pain at the start, but you really don't need to be doing anything other than selling in the first Act (looted weapons are just that much better than anything available). Basically, unless it's an item for your character that you plan on equipping, save the scrolls. You can sell unidentified gear. Once you hit 15, you should be pretty set, as drops are pretty decent and scrolls seem to be common enough. Avoid whites (you can set it to always display items on the ground, so you don't have to hold Alt), blues should be dropping enough to fill your inventory at this point. Pretty sure there's also a setting for enemy HP bars and stuff so it's easier to tell what's around you.

been playing a bit, and i do like it, but as with most games of this open ended playstyle the higher up you get and the longer you play comes back to you with diminishing returns.
if youre interested in playing add me, elderofchaos (06-15-2014, 03:27 PM)negate link Wrote:Hah elder you would be ramming it into Dtrains ass. |

All my characters names are different variations of Generic Name.
Why is Act 2's final dungeon such a god damn pain in the ass to clear? I have not even gotten through act 3 yet with my only character actually in act 3. 3DS Friend Code: 4098-3295-0639 |
