My family's first cat had to be put down last week. I honestly didn't expect her to live to be as old as she did (over 17 years).

And in more recent shitty events, my Windows decided to stop booting this morning. Had to spend the whole day trying every possible fix (with no success), then backing up files and reinstalling Windows. I at least didn't end up having to wipe the partition.

I see scuff marks on the front bumper and quarter panel, but that's not a huge deal. But it looks like the curb totally fucked the front axle and who knows what else along with it. Not a simple fix.

The scuffmarks are over a year old, hit & run about two months after I got it, wasn't worth the deductible to get it fixed. But yeah the axle is fucked, that tire is locked up. I'll find out tomorrow what the dollar damage is gonna be, the shop said the tire and wheel look fine, but the suspension is obviously completely fucked and possibly the axle too.

Btw Crow, I was turning right, coming down the slight incline coming towards the camera, and hit the curb after sliding sideways across the intersection. My exact words as it happened were a calm "well, this is going to be fun."

Took over two hours to get a tow, and another six to wait for the streets to clear enough to get a taxi back to my home, but luckily I have a friend who lives on that street so we walked there and hung out basically all day watching his brother play BF4.

in all seriousness, my mustang probably would have done the same thing, except ass first.  And then I would have laid down in the road and waited for someone to run me over.

I was pissed it didn't just fishtail, because I could've recovered from that. It felt like I lost traction on all four tires at once, my antilock didn't even kick in because the wheels weren't rotating any more because I was moving sideways.

As it stands I walked a block in the snow to my buddy's house and spent the afternoon/evening there, it was OK. My car's still in limbo, just got a call from the shop I'm taking it to to say that nobody has delivered it yet, which means I don't know where it is at the moment >_<
