MACKLEMORE & RYAN LEWIS - CAN'T HOLD US FEAT. RAY DALTON (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)

lol

holy shit the more and more people post and show me this producer's stuff the more i realize how he's only got one sound, shitty one shot trumpets and some form of obnoxious hook thrown in to add that bubblegum-pop feel to it so it sells to white america

/haterade

seriously its like people hear macklemore then act like they've always been hip hop fans.
Then, you show them any other artists, they're "too thuggy" which is usually code for "too black" and it makes me sad as fuck to get that vibe from people, people that are pretending to expand their horizons but really just staying in a singular bubble of existence, only consuming what's put in front of them.

You've also got these types that when "Same Love" came out, they were all suddenly saying "I like macklemore because he talks about real issues that i care about" whereas, im like "I think it's an exploitative song of current LGBT trends on macklemore's part" and that makes me an asshole who doesn't 'get the message', though im pretty sure i do as a pansexual person who doesn't really subscribe to the idea of bi-gendered norms;  its a song where macklemore talks about stereotypes people have of lgbt people affecting his own self. macklemore is the 'zeitgeist movie' of musical groups

I'm not trying to accuse you of that spm201 i just get triggered by macklemore and ryan lewis

macklemore was dope on his own before ryan lewis,
when he rapped about where he was from, NYC, and shit like that. now it's all horribly produced and packaged

Too hip for gangsters and too gangster for hipsters.

Haha no offense taken. I generally just stay in my little indie-folk, experimental, and orchestral bubble. I just think it's catchy regardless of what he's singing about. Honestly can't even understand most of the words.

Today is a good day.  Just found this band, with seven albums that are all (so far) great.

Firewater, "A Little Revolution"
