I just got my first batch of 4 metal prints. 1 looks amazing, 2 look really good, and 1 looks good. I made a choice to print on bare aluminum for my black & white architectural photo so the highlights show bare metal. It's a bit weird at first but when looked at in light the print glows and looks crazy awesome. I would not recommend for anything with people in it, but for architectural type stuff it is an incredible experience.

How much are you thinking of charging for all of them?

I've discovered Neil Gaiman.  All is right with my world.

I've read Good Omens and Stardust.  American Gods is on my list.  What else should I look into?

Patrick Rothfuss, Brandon Sanderson, Katherine Kerr, Jim Butcher, and Elizabeth Haydon are some of my favorite authors.  Some of them have even finished some of their series.

Anansi Boys is great as well, not to mention the entire Sandman series.

I read The Color of Magic just before I started Good Omens.  Got a few other Discworld books on my Kindle waiting to be read.

I bought and read Coraline last night/this morning, and I'll look into the rest of his stuff later today.

The guy I currently have a deal with to put them in his shop is only giving me 40% so I think I'm going to charge $200.00 in the store. I might up the price of the bridge one by $50 though cuz I think it looks damned good. They cost me $50 each to print so at the end of the day I'm not making much but I want to start testing/creating a market for my stuff. The sad thing is people can get a better print through my 500px account for the same price and I'd get more money out of it. I think I'm gonna include cards with my 500px store address on them.

On a related note I got to see the negatives from my last roll of film and I think I have some real winners. I have a legit double exposure in there that looks fantastic (at least in negative form). They are taking for fucking ever to scan them though, I should have something to share by tomorrow or Fri.

deadlifted 300 for 4 reps
literally all the weight i have in my house

going back to school next week where we have a thicker than normal bar that's harder to grip; gonna have to drop my lift down by 50 or so pounds. Feels good to max out my set at home though I guess.

Went to a tabletop game parlor called Kingmakers in Columbus with the fiance. You pay $5 per person + any drinks (they have soda and booze). We had a blast played some elder signs and actually won! We had a blast and are going back.

I got my film strips back. Two things I've discovered 1) I really need to buy a light meter and 2) I really hate my photo lab. It sucks they used to be great, now I'm overpaying them to scratch my film and give me shitty low res scans. Would be FML but I think I've got at least 1 great shot each roll (which is basically what I aim for) and I can fix scratches.

Tonight, I saw a play that didn't suck.  I think I have to go to plays that I know nothing about.

For example, I had foreknowledge of South Pacific and Les Mis.  They were steaming piles of dogshit that are celebrated by people who are either a) old enough to remember the actual events or b) people who don't go to plays and think that Les Mis is the best EVAR because someone else told them so.

To contrast, Memphis, Spring Awakening, and Jersey Boys were AMAZING because I had no preconceptions (or maybe they were just that good regardless).  Just so with tonight's performance of War Horse.  Incredible puppetry, moving story, wonderful acting.  Was hoping for a musical, but it's OK that it wasn't.  My wife cried a few times.  I got teary eyed, myself.  If it comes to your area(s), I highly recommend you go see it.

Wicked is a lot of fun.  I'd also recommend trying to see some Shakespeare on stage too.  I know it always seems a little stuffy if you read it, but seeing it performed goes a long way towards making it worth watching.
