Wicked was pretty awesome when I went to go see it in Chicago many years ago.

I was stage crew in a production of the Sweeny Todd melodrama, and that was a good live show too. I hear the musical is excellent as well. I really need to go see more live shows. I've really started to enjoy them once I got past the high school angst-fueled ones and saw more in college.

The Sweeney Todd musical was great...except for the guy who was playing Sweeney Todd. He was kinda bland. They had a little asian woman playing Senior Pirelli and she was playing the accordion. That more than made up for it.
Seen Wicked. The woman playing Elphaba was amazing. ...And I'm embarrassed to admit that I can't remember if I've ever seen Shakespeare on stage. I know I've tried to watch Patrick Stewart and David Tennant's version of Hamlet, but I couldn't slog through it. The parts I saw were amazing, though. |

My grandmother has a looooong running stage history, so I've always been around the theatre
I got a job as an usher at the playhouses here (Shaw festival) I'd get to sit and watch plays all day... saw every play in the season for three / four years.. like 50x each It was fascinating, and always a little different from performance to performance It's one of the reasons I've been so into prop fabrication, because some of those sets were so intricate. Episode of Last Man Standing from last week (Friday) hit home for me as I was young diagnosed with ADD. And it was a fantastic episode.
I grew up with teachers, psychiatrist, school administration, and even my own mother pushing pills on me, without really giving ME the choice. In high school I finally got a reality check by a girlfriend who said she didn't like me when I took my meds. And after I quit taking those meds I found out I liked the person I was without them a hell of a lot more than the person I was with them. |

Got my music for video games live today. Guess who will be singing the theme to Destiny. Other highlights include MGS2, Halo, Skyrim, and Sonic.
