Went to a party, it was awesome. Saw a very good friend I haven't seen in a long time. Saw this one girl I kinda had a thing with then she called it off, it wasn't awkward anymore. Met some cool people. And we all decided to go see The Lego Movie tomorrow.

Ah, he said "she" that pretty much nullifies the discussion from groupme that we should all ask Vongore some questions.Â
Now Karth, don't do anything I wouldn't do. |

Use protection etc, you'll be fine.
Seriously though, you better use protection. |

Protection and rope is all you need.
Does being on the pill and no use of condoms if you know she is clean count as being safe btw? Been wondering this.

aye waddup
Miss you guys kinda sorta, life's been good to me. I've been buckling down and working incredibly hard my senior year and got my first ever set of straight A's in hopes that I could go to Marquette University next fall. Unfortunately, earlier this year I got a letter of rejection from them, Michigan State, and even Western Michigan. It was pretty rough, but understandable given I had a 2.44 GPA. The other school's letters were pretty unoriginal, just saying "ya you didn't get in sorry mang" but Marquette's was much more genuine. They said they looked very closely at my files and it was a close decision. They also gave me the chance to appeal their decision, so I did because Marquette is essentially my dream school. Anyway, earlier this week I got another letter from them notifying me that they had reevaluated my case, and instead of rejecting me I am now on the wait list. Even though the wait list is not a sure thing, it's still pretty exciting to know that I might be able to go to my dream university with a 2.44 GPA. Don't ever give up, bitches. |

That's good to hear. Even if the waitlist doesn't go through, enroll in community college and keep sending them letters and they might let you in second semester. Determination and commitment will get you where you want to go, especially since they already know that you're interested enough to appeal.

Just don't forget to pull out!
What doctor says the pill is only up to 80% effective? I was always told/under the impression that the pill, when taken properly, is 99.9% effective. Of course, I'm not a doctor, but even poking around with google a bit yields the same info in multiple places What it comes down to is how well does she stick to taking her pill, and how well do you trust the girl. If she's a regular user, takes it on time and never (or VERY rarely) forgets, you're fine. Doesn't protect against STD's, so still use a condom at first until either you both agree to get tested or you can reasonably believe that everyone is free of STD's, and you know her well enough (this part is my opinion, but still). There is of course always a chance she could still get pregnant... Of course I'm not a doctor, and all that. But do some looking around, reading, researching etc. The odds seem to be pretty low. Also maybe TMI, but I've been on the pill for like 10 years now. That is my only method. Never been pregnant. Occasionally I've had to take antibiotics, and so we have had to use another method for a week/maybe longer (did you know that antibiotics can actually reduce the effectiveness of the pill?), but still. If she forgets once in awhile, that's okay too, so long as she tells you and you use a backup method for a while. Most contraceptive pills come with a big information sheet that tell you what to do in case a pill/some pills are missed, and how long to use backup methods, such as condoms. </rant> Sorry. I get all poofy about this topic.
I was going to post something similar, but less rant, more anecdote. My wife and I do not want offspring, so she takes the pill. She remembers every day and it's done its job. And...don't forget to pull out? What, do you just watch too much porn, or something? |

I presented my paper to a bunch of academics and I actually received some interest and people talking to me afterwards. I'm now in an airport waiting to go home.
