Where have all of you been recently?
Seems during prime time our numbers have been cut down of late from a high of 12-16 people seemingly every night to only around 5-8 Â Sig by Joel |

Was out on vacation all last week. Finish finals this week, and won't have any more dumb online classes next semester having to split my time between.

Working on a small project for work right now, that has me going out after my shift and getting supplies and such. I'll likely be out tonight too unless my friend cancels, to put the whole thing together, or to at least get started.

I think I might have to start doing some arm twisting/game notifications, generally I don't bug people on steam to play but I might have to start doing that.
Or possibly another gamecard raffle thing - Any ideas how to do this to encourage more play? Â Sig by Joel |

It worked like this.... For one week I'd pick some random time during prime time and log everyone that was in Red, after a week I'd prune out rando's and then do a raffle for like a steam game. If you were in the server when I took logs you got 1 raffle ticket, so being on more often got you more chances. Later on for TFT, I just gave away stranges, I had like a page of dupe strange weapons and at the end of TFT if you had been on the whole night I'd raffle them off to like 2 or 3 people in the server. What I'm considering doing is taking a screenshot census every night at like 9pm CST or something, everyone who is on gets an entry, after two weeks Id give away like 3 game cards raffled off in the same way. Its both investing in our numbers and investing in the gear people have, if someone who refuses to buy SC gets a card they can get things like the annihilator, FPC, etc. Fun in PS is directly proportional to how many people are on, I expect with our active player count of ~40 that on any given night 12-16 people should be on during prime time. The ultimate goal in my mind is to grow that daily number to approximately 18-24 which probably would mean 60-75 active members. And the best way to get more people involved is a carrot on a stick, and those of us that do play inviting close friends to join. Â Sig by Joel |

I have a new internship and my evening schedule is valuable.
And we do have a BRBU group on steam, and on quick inspection looks like most people who play PS2 are in it, you could send announcements. |

I'll be on more this week, school has been god awful the last 2 weeks. Also there's a reason why I mass message ppl when I'm getting a game together I have no shame in bugging people.
<+Karrde> welp, time to learn some basic patterning skills <@Negate> 12121212121212121212 <@Negate> there is a simple pattern <+Karrde> I changed my mind. Gonna cosplay as a gay demon from hell and get negate raped instead XD <+Caffeine`work> Karrde: Gay demon? Why would you need to cosplay just go as yourself <+FlyingMongoose> Caffeine`work: Karrde would actually have to tone it down some. |

Fuck this game, it's literally the only software my laptop runs at 90+ C while getting constantly under 30 FPS. I don't even have my graphics set beyond fucking low. Skyrim runs like 20 times better, maxed for fuck's sake. SoE is the epitome of fucking garbage. Pretty sure particles are still broken on Ultra, pretty sure low models doesn't actually change a single fucking thing, pretty sure this game is going to die barring some massive miracle on the PS4 launch.
Like jesus, Hawken runs at 60+ FPS maxed with every post processing option, but this piece of shit can't run over 45 reliably unless I'm wandering the map fucking alone. Optimization patch? More like here's a bunch of buzz talk but we really did abso-fucking-lutely nothing.

Check Biz's optimization post, I have no idea what your graphics settings are, but they're probably too high. The game is always going to be CPU intensive no matter how much they optimize things, y'know, because it's a complex multiplayer online FPS tracking a hundred or two players at once. Â And laptops have universally shit underclocked CPU's that are good enough for 90% of things, but not this, so fucking duh.

Been a bit tired and busy lately.
I missed Friday to go on a shopping expedition for a work project with a friend/co-worker. We also got a new board game and have been playing that a lot of weekend nights with our friends until super late. Today I spend several hours on the work project again, and by the time I sat down and played a bit, I was too tired to really sit there and focus. It isn't going to be forever; I'll be back around more once we finish the project, probably. Although when spring actually hits I imagine biking begins... |
