nice, on a side note a good friend of my dad's recently died and i went to watch his house during some of the funeral services, and he had a completely ridiculous amount of model train stuff set up in his basement. I asked about it and apparently he had inherited some of it from his father and grandfather and had over 900 cars and 100+ engines with probably around 2 miles of tracks set up.

Made me sad to think that the working model showcase for the whole thing would probably never be completed now.

I know that feeling, but replace "finished projects" with "cloth and yarn".  A few years ago, a friend's grandmother died.  We went to the house to take some stuff off of their hands.  My wife wanted some of the fabric.  I said to her "Great!  Now someone else can cart it out of OUR house when we die!"

She still hasn't used it.  I fear that I may have spoken true.  At least she knits most the yarn she buys.
