I'm still very skeptical, don't think it's going to change anything.

Trying to up my Light Assault game, so I picked up the Serpent to get a little faster ROE.
I've equipped it with soft point ammunition for close encounters, and once I got used to compensating for the verticle recoil, I'm really liking it. Plus, it has the best hip fire accuracy of all my current carbines. ^ true because the entire 6 or so hexes around crossroads are such good layouts from terrain perspective.
The uphill of Crown. The downhill to Zurvan. The open fields outside of TI. The tight corridor of Broken Arch. Xeno, Snake, etc. No matter what vehicle (ground or air) you bring to those fights, you can find an entrance route that works. Contrast to the innumerable places on Esamir where it's so flat that vehicles or footsies get pounded from afar, or the cliffs of Amerish where it's difficult for ground vehicles an footsies to go from one base to the next. ... the whole game would benefit from a slight relaxation of gravity, al-la tribes. |

this is why we need hossin. If done correctly it will allow the best movement of troops through tree cover with good/daring pilots needing to fly low to attack them. Terrain can vary but not enough to cause problems with vehicle movement. One thing i have noted that i see in some really fun base fights on amerish is the underground bases. (walls are not needed if the base it built properly *coughesamircough*) There needs to be more of this. Big enough to bring a flash or maybe a harasser into the tunnels. I had a great time getting into a tunnel from the defenders spawn and force-bladeing through masses of TR before they realized i was not one of them.

Just put some floating antigrav powered sky fortresses or warships or whatever in the sky and use that as explanation for area specific grav reduction. |
