Got rear ended on my way to work this morning. Nothing screams happy Monday like that. Luckily there wasn't any damage and i rubbed what little paint transfer there was off with my thumb. I'm taking it to my Dad's after work to just make sure everything is good. (Yes I got his licence/phone/and insurance info in case it's not.)

Got passed over for a job at my work's tech support department. A job that would have been a raise, better hours, and that they sent me to a month of training for. Then promptly said, 'Nah forget it. You can stay in your current position, even though you were perfectly qualified for this one and we said we wanted you and all that.'

I don't have any of my tools at school. It would be nice to have a garage or any sort of storage to work in too.

I think I need to do valve clearances cause it's about 1k miles overdue, but I've never worked on a DOHC before.

My cat locked himself in our spare bedroom and I had to pay a locksmith some ridiculous amount of money to drill a hole in our door to open it. The locksmith was actually awesome and probably undercharged us because we were recommended by a guy that knows all the tradesmen in the area (our landlord), I threw in $20 because it was worse than he probably thought and it's easter and I felt bad.

What I'm actually upset about is how ridiculously retarded these old time locks are on a couple of our doors. Seriously. They have a little lever that you flip and no one can get in in any reasonably manner. There is a keyhole but it only works a deadbolt. They nickname them dead man's locks because if someone dies in a room after having locked them there is no way to get to them without destroying the door.

There is a little lever on the inside of the door that if you pull it down no one can get in ever. It is the worst design of anything I have ever seen. The lever is also perfectly placed so if a cat is pawing at the door it will get flipped.

I may. The actual thingees aren't normal, like the catch is screwed onto the side of the door frame, not in the middle of the door frame like normal god fearing doors. Not quite sure how to remedy this. Plus it's a historic house and I don't know if I can replace these historic knob's.

Replace the entire door. Save the old door so it can be reinstalled.
