There is a little lever on the inside of the door that if you pull it down no one can get in ever. It is the worst design of anything I have ever seen. The lever is also perfectly placed so if a cat is pawing at the door it will get flipped.

My company is overselling the abilities of the new product and making misleading claims in the marketing material.

The VP told me yesterday that our customers wouldn't be misled because our customers aren't that stupid.

I've been asked more than once to compromise my integrity for the sake of either snowing a customer or making them temporarily happy (until they figure out the whole story), and I've always refused. I represent myself as a brand almost as much (or more) than I represent the company whose name is sometimes on my shirt, and I would rather have a reputation as the straight talking bearer of bad news who then gets shit done than anything else. I'm an engineer, first and foremost, and that means solving problems, not bullshitting people about them. I've had plant managers get uppity with me when they think I'm selling them some sort of company line, and I've had to stop them to remind them that they've never worked with me before, but that they're not going to get bullshit from me. Then I get their shit running, and earn a modicum of respect, which is tough to do in my industry sometimes where nearly everyone I work with has been in industry for nearly as long as I've been out of diapers.

There's no way I'm going to have time to film the reactions again, and it would require some much extra work! The edit is going to be super noticeable. FUCK
