[/quote]Toning doesn't exist. Working out and lifting weights has two effects entirely depending on your diet: Losing overall bodyfat or gaining lean muscle. Unless you're fairly overweight it's almost impossible to do both at the same time.

No prob. Misconception about fitness really grinds my gears because I've seen people get worse from "cleansing" and "toning" trends than myself or others have from doing it the proper way.

You can get pissed off at a word all you want and say that people are using it wrong but you still know what people mean when they say it.

Gonna have to agree with this one, I didn't adhere to any toning trends, but I've 'toned' my body type from 245lbs to 140lbs and ive got very low body fat % now and more visible musculature; although I know what the words mean and do research vs most people just reading a random innanet article and being like oh wow im gonna win the video game of weight loss go me!

you gotta change yourself to change yourself, its like the most resonating thing i can tell people when they ask me about how I lost weight. I'm not the same Funbucks I was when I was 245lbs because if I was then I would be 245lbs.
