Bought my own cable modem and my internet speed went up by 50%. I will also break even and start saving money in just a few months. I will never rent a cable modem again.

In our tabletop game we gave out random GM cards at the start of any session, one of them was

'I lease from Comcast'

Which made value/barter checks for the session much harder for that person.

Just played with the Star Citizen dog fighting module... and I fucking LOVED it.

So apparently on Steam, there are certain coupons that stack with sale prices. I just got a 50% off coupon for Endless Space + DLC from some random dude, and got a further 50% off the 66% off sale price, for a whopping total of $5.94 for a regular $34.99 game.

Ehhh....I thought they always shyed away from these sorts of moneys, when you're intentionally trying to make a bad movie its harder to make fun of it. Better when its a "serious" movie that turns out horrible.

Spent all day at the beach yesterday.

Thanks to a rigorous sunscreen regiment and an extra mile of atmosphere more than I'm used to, I only got a little burn on the back of my neck.

I volunteered at a local brewfest over the weekend. I ended up working both days because they were short staffed on Sunday, but I had a blast the entire time both days.  You don't know how happy it makes me that I got to geek out about beer to nearly everyone I talked to and most people were right there with me. Not to mention having an in-depth discussion about the merits of Simcoe vs Cascade hops with a hot girl. I also got to chat with some local craft brewers including one that just made the jump from homebrewing to large scale, so that was cool too. I got to try all kinds of interesting brews as well like a peanut butter cup stout, a blueberry wheat that tasted just like a blueberry muffin, black IPA, rye IPA, pear lager, cask-aged imperial stout, raspberry and pear cider.
