someone i work with was trying to find a good paint for the stairs at their school so it wont have to be repainted every year. They mentioned a high durability paint with a high VOC (volatile organic compound/carbon) content. They didnt know what it was so they started asking around if it would be safe to use. I was able to successfully explain what they were and the dangers they may pose around people.

Also might have helped convince this younger coworker to become an environmental geoscientist/geologist

Went to a barcade in philly that had tons of cabinets from the spyhunter and galaga type eras. Went to play smashTV and due to some mechanical malfunctions and me fiddling with the coin mechanism we got unlimited credits for free. Needless to say we played through the whole game (no pleasure dome completionist) and I exceeded the previous high score by 2 figures. Probably would have cost me $20 had I needed to pay. So much dying especially with slightly faulty joysticks. we finished about 10 minutes before the bar closed and I got to see my initials on top of a cabinet high score list for the first time.

So, not that I've been keeping anybody updated, but I'm pretty stoked: Had applied to a civilian ME job for the military back in May. Finally had an interview going on 2 weeks ago. Got a very time-sensitive job offer yesterday afternoon (must accept by Monday), which is great, but I had a 3rd interview with a company in Houston setup for today. I'd prefer Houston geographically, and I think this particular company would have more room to grow professionally. Either way, long story short, I think I rocked the 3rd interview today. In retrospect, I believe it was mostly a formality. The 3 engineers that interviewed me previously all showed up today, along with the lead drafter. Only the Chief engineer and drafter had questions for me. After lots of questions on my part, I let them know I'd love to work there, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I needed an answer by Monday. They didn't seem phased at all, and said they would definitely let me know something by Monday morning.

So either way, barring more horrible, unforeseen circumstances, I should have an engineering or a drafting/designing job lined up within 72 hours, with pay that I feel more appropriate to my education. Don't want to jinx it, but it seems like things are finally coming up CeeDuck.

good to hear bro.

I went on a date for the first time in fuck knows how long. Had a good time.

Also, guy on zx6r forum offered me a set of OEM brake rotors for 50 bucks shipped. new OEM rotors go for like 400 dollars a piece. Aftermarket are like half the price but I would rather not pay for new aftermarket ones right now.

Saw Soundgarden/NIN last night at the Hollywood Bowl. Had awesome seats in the pool section. Easily the best venue I've been to.
