I found the keyboard controls of the first one to be really good...certainly better than trying to do Meat Boy with a keyboard.

I believe this one does.

Though I really prefer a keyboard for the original.

Edit: Well, I can't really comment on how the new one will play controller vs. keyboard since joy2key sucked on the original.
