Valve sent me an email saying they realized that they made a mistake in their code and that they took away my achievements accidentally. To make it up to me they just gave me all the achievements for free! My faith in valve has been restored, somewhat.

Guilty as charged. After i got Intern and specialist that thursday that we were achievement farming, for some reason it just gave me milestone 3. I was still missing Chief of staff and First do no harm, but im not complaining about getting the ubersaw early.

At first apparently there was a bug where the milestones counted towards the 36 achievements... or something like that. Been fixed since.

Very cool news. I assume you politely emailed them about it? Shame all those people in that Steam forum thread didn't do the same thing. :S

Yea I just used the steam support page to tell em my legit achievements got erased. At first they just had some lame ass auto response saying it was because I cheated, but today they emailed me apologizing and saying they made the mistake and decided to give me all of em.

I whored out most of my achievements.  I've got like 8 left.  I cant get the uber 2 at once achievement no matter what...I think its bugged.

Try turning off the medi-gun toggle, worked for me after about half a dozen failed attempts and a quick visit to the Steam forums.
