Problem is Pandora has been doing the same thing for 10 years and hasn't really evolved to compete with other services. As an example: Google play's streaming quality blows Pandora out of the water. More variety too, and you have more control over what you listen to (single tracks, albums all on-demand). There are plenty of other services that also have some very strong reasons to drop Pandora, imo (Apple radio is another one I like).

So I logged into my Google Music All Access this evening post 5:00 PM on a Friday (local time) and Google presents me with something new, that I kind of like.



Seeing as I'm a bit jittery from excessive energy/drink/caffeine consumption today I decided to go with the following:
Unwinding - 90s Unwinding - Late '90s Rock Unwinding

It generates a playlist based on this "Category"... honestly this is a pretty cool addition if you ask me. I didn't know it did this.

They introduced the feature this week afaict. 80's and 90's Guilty Pleasures is going to be the soundtrack to my life, this is frickin' incredible

Actually I've been listening to the "No noobs allowed: Rock for gaming" playlist and it owns pretty hard. Sucks you can't listen to it though versus.

It was well cut, but make your commentary louder it should be the what your viewer is focusing on. There was a couple points where i felt a little lost as there was little build up or transitions are a little too fast. (that could be solved if you made it a bit longer.)
Hire Morgan Freeman for the next one.

I have 141 credits left before I graduate with both my bachelor's degrees. If I take 18 credits a semester I can finish in 8 more semesters. Goodbye free time.

Isn't a major just an area of study?

My two degrees are BS in Applied Math and Computer Science with a Software Development Concentration and BS in Computer Engineering.

Well yea major is area of concentration, but there's a few ways to go about doing more than 1 area of study

Dual Degree: most work, afaik you do all the courseowork for both degrees, and literally get 2 degrees.

Double Major: You take 2 majors, and pick and choose what you want from both majors. You get 1 degree, designated as a double-major. Essentially, a hybrid of 2 degrees, being comparable work to either of the singular degrees. Less work.

Minor: Who fucking cares about minors

Anyways, I think I'll have both degrees but because there's overlap I won't have to do 2N (N being the number of credits for a single BS)
Also, I'll only have to do my gen eds once, and most of them transferred in already anyway.

So yeah I guess I'm doing a double degree.

Maybe I'm an idiot for attempting this, but I figure as long as I stay in school full time I don't have to start paying off my loans, and I'll admit that I fucking love learning all this shit. Like I seriously enjoy calculus and statics.

I could get out in 5 semesters if I went back to just Computer Engineering, but the topics in both degrees are so interesting to me.

But yeah, at my alma mater the only "dual degree" programs were ones that granted different actual degrees, eg BA/BM, or say, MD/MPH. Anyone could double-major (or triple major, given certain criteria), but it would only change what's written on the diploma, not constitute a second one. But this is almost certain to vary by institution, as it seems to in your case.

I did dual degrees, but mine had overlapping pre-reqs. Also did a minor.


Dual Majors can depend heavily on the university, they might not allow it at all, or only for certain programs. Dual degrees as far as I know are almost always allowed.

Hmm, I never thought about that. I mean in the end I'm still doing all the work for both degrees 60-70 credits of math and cs courses, and 60-70 credits of CEE and engineering core. It's just that I don't have to do a bunch of gen eds twice. Guess I don't really care much if I had a second diploma or not, just that I'm getting a pretty broad knowledge-base and as such I'll theoretically have a leg up in the career department.
