Hardline Downsides:
Dice is the primary on multiplayer development
It's on Origin Only (like most Battlefield games now).

Hardline Upsides:
Visceral Games is the lead development company behind it. This means the creators of Dead Space are the same ones who are doing hardline (this indicates pretty solid story telling in both SP and MP)
They seem to be handling it WAY better than they handled BF4, but I still expect limitations on "Official" servers (so I just won't run one myself anymore).
It's beta was way more fun than BF4's
They make fun of 90's cop dramas.
