So, though we all seemed to agree that the game is quite fun, ultimately, in it's current state not something to be dedicated to (just yet).

But the game is regularly updated, so I propose a monthly play, once a month, on a day we all agree on, at a time we all agree on, we get together to play the game. This is actually something the official Unreal Blog does as well.

I figure we can get a server regularly populated.

Also, are we sticking to particular game modes? Or are we going to randomize?

As far as I know there's no way to change the game mode without restarting the server (yet). But that is something that will probably be able to be changed in the future.

Anyway, I had a ton of fun with all you guys, and I've decided I'm going to build the instagib game mode when I get a chance.

The current available game modes:
Duel
CTF
TDM
DM

I think at the moment TDM with a higher kill limit will be the best way to go for now, more maps and what not.

I think with things the way they are right now an event night once a week or once every other week would be the best way to go until things get more streamlined and updated.

It's set to TDM, with a GoalScore of 45 (GoalScore is the config option, caff I told you where the configs are if you'd like to change it).

Hopefully it worked changing it.

I've established how to remove double-tap dodge (it's in first post) and also would like to point out, impact-hammer jumping is a thing too.

I'd like to point out, the OLD (1 version older than the most recent) version notes include a particular fix under "Misc. Gameplay"

... this one...
"Fixed rare case where the player's camera won't view the new character after respawning"

I have changed the gameplay config of the server at the request of Karrde since he is no longer borked.

It is now CTF Instagib.... this will most likely not stay because, well, it's pre alpha and as pre-alpha testing-like people it is our responsibility to try out a whole bunch of things. It's just this way for now.

I've also found that there is a Low Grav mutator available as well.

Caff has log ins to go ahead and try to launch each of these if we want to do a trial night.

We still have the core game modes TDM, DM, and CTF.

Note: Overlord may be bugged at the moment.

Also, I tried enabling bots... they're horrible, they don't leave then players join, they have stupid good aim, and they have terrible pathing.... so... no bots... I turned them back off rather quick.

I have a wedding this weekend, Christmas is next week, family coming in that weekend, then of course new years. So it's looking like sometime after new years is best for me. But still log in info I gave to you is the same.

I've set up shortcuts to launch Low Grav or Instagib for each game mode.

I've pulled overlord out of the DM maps due to a "It crashes everyone" glitch (I can't remember the details but it's something ridiculous like crouching as you become crashes every player including the overlord).

Basically for this week; during the week thursday is last day I'd be able to do it, next week, maybe monday night, week after that new years eve maybe, and then after new years I'm probably pretty wide open.

So... Two things.

1. I will most likely be setting up for the server to reboot every 8 hours. Each reboot should bring a different game mode and mutators (or removal of mirador) as well as ensure the stability of the server.

I've changed the operating system the server is running on. That being the case my machine provider also assigns new IP addresses (don't ask me why, I don't know)

New IP is as follows: 104.167.99.66, the port should be the same.

The server is down while I run updates. etc. I'm hoping this will increase performance and stability.

Server finally back up, running CTF Classic right now.

I haven't implemented the rotation system yet (because I'm not certain how I want to do it). But I'll get it figured out eventually.
