Enjoying my new job. Sometimes doing bitchwork but I don't really mind because it's not stressful. Getting to do some analysis for linkedin corporate membership (which does not have its shit together at all btw) and the IS supervisor talked about in the future we could do a big migration/restructuring of our database and I'd get to do some work on that. Everyone is super nice too.

I tweaked 2 settings on my 3d printer and got a flawless calibration cube.  This really should not be this easy.

Can't find my scraper this morning.  I usually have it in the back seat.  That's OK, repair guys must have stuck it in the trunk (see the FML thread for that particular shitstorm).  I pop the trunk and find my scraper.  Guess what else I find?

I FIND A FUCKING TAILLIGHT.

When my car got hit, the driver's side taillight got busted.  No prob.  Me and my dad get a new one, pop it in, and I don't get ticketed while driving it around and waiting two weeks until my appointment.  Every time I interacted with the repair place, they said "...and we'll do the taillight, as well."  to which I respond "No, I'm doing that.  Got it?"  Three or four times.  No one, apparently, took notes or even acknowledged my voice.

So, of course, they remove my brand-new, functioning taillight and put in their used (but still functional) one and charge me for it.  Like, did they see it and go "Well, it works...but I'll 'fix' it anyway"?  They must have.  The new one is bouncing around in my trunk.

I call the manager of the place and make sure he knows who I am.  I mention that he's called me before and apologized for the shitty customer service I've been getting.  He knows who I am.  So I ask him, "Guess what was in my trunk?"  We have a brief conversation where I should be getting a medal for not screaming incoherently at him.

The part that made my day:  If I swap out the taillights and bring the extra, they'll pay me for the one I bought myself.  I paid $229, the used one is only $75, so I'm getting quite a bit back in the deal.  Serves them right.  They're never touching my fucking car ever again.  They may just straight up set it on fire because that's the only way they could fuck up any harder.
