Many of us have Netflix anyway, so a synchronized "play" countdown for those people would make it relatively easy to get a similar effect.

If we do it your way though whoever would do it would have to have a significant amount of upload bandwidth.

Essentially a synchronized VM with voice chat and webcam as well as text chat for people without a mic. Video chat can be turned off entirely either by the room owner or on a person by person basis. No push to talk last I checked, so use headphones instead of speakers unless you really want endless audio loop.

How's the audio/video synchronization? (Like if someone were to say... share a PERSONAL video... via their screen share... and let the audio broadcast too? But their only access to do this is a private YouTube or something similar that can only be accessed via a streaming service?)

[/quote]Pretty good. Only used it a handful of times but nobody I know ever said they had any problems with the video/audio not syncing up

Basically the way it works is someone is the "leader" of that room, and they punch in a youtube video or some such, and then everyone is watching the same video feed

I haven't seen any posts about it, so let it be known:

Mad Max Fury Road is the best action movie I've seen in some time. See it. See it loud on beautiful 4k resolution in a theater.

Seriously though, amazingly done art direction, costume design, and pace. Saw it with some hipster types who definitely aren't action-movie-types and they loved it too.

It's out of theaters now but if you played borderlands you are required to see this movie.

Also a side note. I do understand why they didn't get Gibson as Max after he went crazy (from what I can tell) but this is supposed to be yeaaaaars after beyond thunderdome.

Why does he look not only nothing like Mel but even younger? Other than that casting was ace.

He's a placeholder. Max doesn't matter. He's just a vehicle for you, the viewer, to enter into the world of the movie. I'm pretty sure that this Max isn't meant to be a continuation of the Max of the previous movies anyway.

It is. I have the comics and it is intended to tell furiosa and max's story and what led up to the movie. They directly show the events of the older movies, just without the mel max and the new one instead. I also understand that Max is intended to be an observer but he also has some character and I would have liked him to look at least kinda like the previous rendition of him instead of retconning that mel max ever happened.

Star Wars Episode 7 was pretty good.  I thought the set deisgn wasnt as....interesting as before....but it was such a nice redemption to the series that Lucas garbled up and threw onto a green screen.   I love you Practical Effects.   I love you sooooooo much
