Unreal Tournament 4 Information

So, I won't be around this weekend, birthday weekend having fun, shooting guns, drinking alcohol, the usual. But hey, here in the land of games that are actually fun to people who have common sense and don't just follow masses I've decided to shut down the plethora of servers in favor of a "hub" (this lets us pretty much launch up things on a whim, which is nice).

The Hub can not be connected to directly, you must follow the following steps:

Load the Epic Games Launcher, if you load anything else, you're doing it wrong
Update Unreal Tournament  (if you haven't already)
Load Unreal Tournament, if you load anything else you're doing life wrong
Go to "Play"
Go to "Find Games"
If you don't see brb, uninstalling in the list of hubs, uncheck the box that says "Hide unresponsive servers"
Select brb, uninstalling
Customize game and get buddies to join
Play game
Repeat if you stop and do anything else, you're not gaming hard enough (including if you're playing other games).

Last note, if you want the Steam Overlay to work in Unreal, Launch Steam with Administrative Privileges and then launch the Epic Games Launcher from Steam.

Now, done, new UT4 hub is up, allows spin up at any time, info on  first post. (use find a game, you'll find a hub named brb, uninstalling).

If anyone wants to set up a custom rule configuration, here's the info on how to set up a server (setting up a server also gets you sample config files so you can work with it).

okay even though my team got creamed, I got 4 of us together to play a few rounds of CTF tonight and it was more fun than anything you fuckers decided to not join us for.

There's been lots more pretifications... also all the guns have finalized models now. Player models are starting to come together and now a good chunk of maps are done. There's singleplayer (you + bots vs. bots or you vs bots depending on mode) stuff in there now.

They actually increased the scale of players by 15%... this will be interesting, especially since they slightly reduced the rocket launcher impact radius (in code it's a sphere), and made it's splash radius slightly larger.

Those trailers are really well made. Especially the Underland one. I had no idea they were making trailers for those maps. You still playing, FlyingMongoose?

Rarely, but yes, once in while. Unfortunately most of Epic's dev team has moved to fortnite and UT4 hasn't had an update in almost a year.
