Celebrated the birthday at place called Burgatory with some friends last night; had a tasty elk burger for the first time and an alcoholic milkshake made with Old Grand Dad's Bourbon and caramel, perfect level of bourbon where it didn't overpower the shake

Wife got me a whiskey's of the world advent calendar for Xmas that covers December up to Christmas day. You get maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of a glass of 24 different expensive whiskeys to try. I plan on taking notes for when I feel like blowing some $$$ later in life.

Received a raise. Paychecks feel much better now, and I won't have to get a different job.

Oh wow and I guess the bank made an error typing in my deposit, and gave me an extra $27 (the difference between a 58 and an 85). I wonder if they'll take it back out.

As someone who works at a bank, yes, they will.  Don't spend it.

I figured, I left it out of my accounting regardless. It reminded me of that monopoly card, bank error in your favor. I was like yeah right not in this reality.

Your mousepad looks encrusted with flavor, like a finely aged cheese.

I think his ant trap in the corner really is the pièce de résistance

I actually had a few ants in that corner, but in like February when it was between 10C and -25C, to top it off they didn't touch the trap or the gel I put out. I had to put down powder to get rid of them.

And yes, a new mouse/mouse pad is also on the list. I think I've used that once since college.

Treat yourself and get something completely pointless and overpriced:

It's only $59.99!

I still use that same mouse. Seems to work fine for me.

Pro-tip: Those raid ant traps are garbage, they never work. Use Terro liquid bait, that stuff works miracles.

Got another job offer at a grocer, one that will actually pay me a livable wage. Hopefully I can stay here until a better opportunity arises.
