Thanks to everyone who helped test Duck's server tonight. Right now, its just set to 24/7 Goldrush and is completely vanilla.

The question is now, what to do with it. We can take it down obviously and put it up on Tu/Fri for overflow and on Thursday for obscure mod Thursdays. I know in the other thread we basically decided we didn't need a second server, but the opportunity has arisen to have one for free for at least a little while.

What rotation should we put on it?

If we keep it sourcemod/metamod and the server plugins will be moved over.

Personally Id make it Goldrush/Dbowl/Labor. A 24/7 server tends to attract a lot of assholes/scrubs, ect. Its easy to fill, but may require more administrative action to keep the environment to the standards that we've set for the main server. Its a trade off, but I think a short rotation with 3, maybe 4 maps would be best.

I say use it to host sourcemods and stuff regularly and then we can have it as an overflow for FNF/TFT/whatever else if we need it. This way we can play the mods or even hosting them for days or even weeks at a time without having to take down the main server.

Doesn't sound like a bad idea. It would be nice for overflow and maybe to scrim on if that's cool. I also like the idea of it being 24 hour something or other, maybe it could be a different map everyday? Also mods. Either way, good idea.

No it would be great to have an 'as we need it' server to switch around to whatever mod people happen to want to gather on a random Saturday afternoon and what not.  I propose that what ever maps do make it into rotation for those other times of the day, that they be maps that aren't necessarily played often on the main server.  A man needs his options.

Tasty server. I'd love the idea of an overflow server so long as its free and easy for Fuck Duck. That 3 map rotation looks fine for the purposes of just having it filled all the time.
