What's with all this rage about the Scout getting an energy drink?

Honestly, I think it fits, and imagine the posibilities: Being able to break the stalemate of two turtling teams, by getting through their defence, hiding for a bit and then attacking from within?  It's perfect!

And think about this: You know how you get health from picking up a Sandvich from a dead Heavy?  Imagine the same thing only instead of health, you get a speed boost.

Depending on the mechanics, this might actually be very useful. I mean, what if if gave a temporary health and speed boost (or overheal)? Again, I don't think it really satisfies the design goals valve laid out for themselves (makes scout viable on offense on goldbowl), but this is actually a more interesting unlock than the baseball.

Actually, looking at the picture, I don't know if it will actually be a speed boost. Over the scout's it says "miss miss miss." I hope it's not going to be something incredibly gay and OP like bullets just miss him with any kind of regularity while using this (god I hope it's just like sentry bullets or something). Also, the new gametype is so fucking fail if I'm reading that picture right. The only thing I can possibly think of that's less fun than Goldrush is 2-way Goldrush. I'm hoping that's just a lame PL map they cooked up and not the newest "gamemode" they created.

up til now, the only things that have been able to take out level 3's are demo's, soldiers, spies, or ubers. (With exceptions of course) Why would we need another class to do it?

scout still won't be able to take out a sentry with an engi near it, no worries on that. In fact it adds an interesting twist to the game with a scout able to stop the engi hump. If a scout is smart, he waits for his team, then rushes out and kills any engis in the area so that they can't hump sentries while his team pings them or a spy saps them.

I'm judging this before using it.  Shit sucks.  Also, this would be hilarious if it really was the spy update.  I would buy every valve product ever released if they pulled a joke this huge.

The energy drink is a speed boost.

Practical Uses: Quick Evade/Escape, running past lone sentries (maybe even multiple..depends on how fast he runs), another anchor for a hit and run player.

Yes, we know there is a new gun.  I just think it's funny how everyone has been saying they got a "double barreled shotgun" as a new one, like the scattergun WASN't double barreled.

That was probably the worst update ever. Srsly, between the ridiculous number of pyros running around, no-falloff for the flamer, and +50hp for the backburner, shit was ridiculous. A lot of people stopped playing after that came out.

Because no other class in the game has such a hard counter. Yes, there are plenty of general counters, but the engy+sentry > scout is probably the closest you can get to an absolute counter in this game.
