If you look at the Spy's character loadout ingame, there's no slot to change the sapper or the cigarette case, so it looks like we'll only get pistol and knife upgrades.

The ONLY thing i would accept as a replacement for the Sapper would be a "saps faster but can be taken away by any melee weapon". Anything else is shit. And my option is still OP

Tracking gun.  Basically replaces the pistol with a single shot gun that either is a beacon for the other team to see, or does the outline thing.  It's also something that can be done in disguise so that you could be hanging around an enemy, tag the spy, and then he goes and tries to trick the engineer, but ends up getting caught before he does.  Could be useful and put it on a timer like Sandman so it's not spammed.  Also maybe make it a disposable item to go with the timer replacement.

[/quote]spy gets a laser pointer and can mark turrets, etc. for people. can also draw stuff on everyone's HUD. PS people will like that.

remote activated sapper, does no damage, only jams, you still have to go on the field and place it though, can only be wrenched upon activation, goes away after spy death.

I would like to see that.
