That's what I was thinking, also with much weaker headshots. Considering how unlocks have been going, I'm mainly trying to think of something that most of the brbu community would find useless.

Depending on how long it takes the kickback to settle down, this sounds a lot like the rifle is now except he is losing his charge. 

What about semi-auto, no rescope, no charge?  I don't know that might be a little OP.  Maybe give it a fairly small ammo reserve like 5-10 shots.  This would give him nice burst damage followed by some downtime while he resupplies.

there is ALLWAYS at least one sniper on a team

and no no one plays TF2 cause they want to sit at the back and be a pussy, thats why there is a lowish sniper percentage

There aren't more snipers because if you have more than one sniper on your team, you're being a useless fucktwat.  Pretty much every other class can be useful in some capacity with more than one (save possibly spy, though working together they could be devastating), but there's really never any dire need for more than one sniper.  I like to play it occasionally when I'm really bored, but I will NEVER EVER EVER play it if there is someone already playing it.

I kind of avoided this thread for awhile since well, I don't have anything nice to say about Snipers plus the first few pages were a dick wagging contest, but now that that's died down I still stand by that this update might just be a spy in disguise. If not, the only halfway decent ideas I've heard for replacement weapons in this thread are a flashbang and a cardboard cutout that you set down so it shows that instead of the sniper in your deathcam so people don't know where you are. Hilarious and useful for the sneaky snipah.

Also: The steam stats don't show a lot of snipers because people harass you off the class if there are 2 or more. Unless you circle jerk on a 24/7 2fort server. Unlike say...Demo where a team can literally have 8 and win a game.
