Pretty much this. Sniper's already got a close range weapon anyway. It's called crits and it's the savior of the retarded.

Well, Valve has officially gone off the deep end.

Maybe the idea of a M14 or some sort of Iron Sight or minor zoom semi-auto rifle is a possibility to keep it a Sniper weapon, but allows for more medium range action.  I think it'll be fun, but I'm not so pessimistic about every update :\

Actually this is more bitching about them wasting time making hats (which I could go and get on FPS Banana since Day 1) than with doing things like mapping, fixing bugs, making the new unlockables, etc.

It may be a fun and silly update yes, but there's a lot more pressing things they could probably be spending resources on imo
