Being stuck on Server #2 during FNF is a good thing!!!

I know, I know, it's sad when you can't play with all your friends. But tonight, I stayed on #2 to keep an eye on my baby (she hasn't been doing well lately). Was there with Luca for a good while, Kor hopped in for a bit as well. Either way, as per the usual routine, conversations were had. Luca and I talked a lot about FNF, being late for FNF, and missing all the fun. Well, after Luca was gone, it was just me all by my lonesome. Towards the end of Goldrush (when it was obvious non-cooperating scrubs could not push any further against so many sentries on the last point), the conversation picked up again (actually, it picked up a bit BEFORE Luca left, but who cares about Luca  ), with people asking about FNF.

"What's this FNF you guys keep talking about? What's BRBUninstalling? Are you guys recruiting? BLAH BLAH BLAH!"

Eventually, I was answering enough questions that I just went engy so I could deal with them all.

"Friday Night Fights is just where all the community regulars get together and hang out and have a couple of epic matches every week. Everyone comes out of the woodwork for it. BRBU is vaguely a clan; we're more a community than anything. Yes, you can join, as long as you're not a douchebag. Yes, a lot of the regulars are from Destructoid.

Either way, If you'll check out our newest members, for example right now I recognize Jakarutu from earlier tonight. A decent medic, and among a team of scrubs, one of the few guys trying to organize a push. So to Jakarutu, welcome!

It makes me feel a little fuzzy inside to know I got to meet and greet some of the newest members of the community. So, if you get stuck on Server #2 during FNF, don't despair! At least you get to meet and greet the newest members of FNF. It's always nice to meet new people, and hopefully my epeen (read: friends list) will be as big as Caff's one day.

Indeed, one thing that I saw last night and I do not want to see again is people bitching because someone they 'dont know' is taking up a slot in FNF. Its fine to ask them where they came from or how they found their way here politely, just don't be a dick about it, the whole point of having more than one server is so you can keep playing WITH friends when one fills up on TFT/FNF in particular.

I was actually on in server 2 late into the night with examino and versus. it was fun and I met some decent people. This place just keeps getting bigger. Gotta love it being some of the earliest members of a community like this..you can watch it grow and expand..very epic.

The #1 is for people who have been around. You have to have the mappack to be in there for a long time. The #2 is all scrubs once it gets seeded. Fertile soil! Personally, if you just go in and act like cool dudes, people will check out the site.
