Planetside Friday - 6/26/09 - Cameras and Purple Tights (aka BFR Jihad)

If you haven't been on we're playing Vanu again, our stint as NC was fun and we couldn't have dont ducklings without the NC BFR, however its time to go back to our purple roots and pick up the lancer once again. Make sure to cert in Lancer and Rexo as your base and from there you can get whatever you want. If you computer can handle it, get a copy of Fraps and take film when we do drops, Id like to try to put together a short movie.

Hot dropping never gets old and neither does ruining BFR drivers days.

If you have a subscription, please post what battle rank you are and what certs you currently have, I'd like to get a quick inventory on who has what and from there try to think of other fun things we can do with minimal cert swapping or making new characters. I mark some certs as floating for what I could be willing to drop and reassign points if necessary.

Fun in this game increases exponentially with the more people that join up so I hope to see more of the people that stated they were interested in the initial thread to come out, the game is FREE, but you are restricted to 14 days after which you will have to start all over again. If you get "suspended" or banned since the trial accounts are loopholes just make another one. Conversely you can spend $20 to pick up the game at direct2drive, which comes with a free month, this allows you to keep your character instead of having to re-level someone every 2 weeks.

It would be difficult because on some conts the view distance is about half that. I'd be willing to try it, though. I've dumped whole clips into enemy air when dropping from galaxies and liberators before, so it shouldn't be difficult if everyone can get the hang of pulling the _correct_ gun as soon as they hit alt-g

You have to drop at an odd angle because you can't aim straight down

Yeah, we were dealt with a poor map, but the first time we tried to establish a foothold on Esamir was pretty good. It was mostly just us, and we seemed more coordinated than usual in putting in 3 ghost hacks and taking Mani.

I put a call out on command chat and pretty much any Vanu outfit that was worth their salt player-skill wise was there, we did a good job establishing a new front and holding it for quite some time

We can try again tonight, its just the nature of the game, sometimes you are dealt a good hand sometimes not
