Contemplating resubscribing out of lack of anything else to do. How many of you play it at least more than the Saturday? Group size, current game population, etc etc? (Amount of times you've been mowed down by smurfs with Jackhammers in tower caps?)

Also, yes. Been forever since I've actually posted and played TF2 last night for once on brbu. I got swamped with class and RL stuff. I'm back now if anyone even remembers my short time here. >.-.>;;

Also, Alien vs Predator made me sad. I want AvP2 back, hence more reason to contemplate throwing money into PS.

Don't write AVP off yet, I looked into it and I think the demo is a year old and basically a direct port of the 360 version. Someone e-mailed the devs about it and they said they've fixed most of the stuff people were complaining about. I'm going to wait for the reviews.

But as for non-TF2 games, I know some people are considering Bad Company 2 as well as AVP, we'll likely have a server for one or both of them.


PS is about the only MMO I can really stand to play, a bunch of my friends have been play Star Trek Online but I'm not really sold on it yet, the game is still about 66% finished. PS is an old game but its aged pretty well for something that came out in 2003 and doesn't really feel like an eyesore that many older FPS/MMO games feel like after so many years.

If you have an experience with battlefield or tribes its like that but a much much higher player cap, the old cap in its heyday was ~350 per side (max of 1050 players on one continent), so each team would have 2 full poplocks + about another 1/3 to 1/2's worth of troops to spread across any of ten continents, so you'd have approximately 1300 - 1400 people in one huge global conflict. Currently I believe that cap was lowered to 200 - 250 in an effort to concentrate players, usually in prime time its a three way battle with about 200 people on each side, so it still after 6 years boasts larger battles than any other FPS game.

We usually pull our tactics straight from goonfleet in EvE, attacking a high value target with lots of small low value things, and more often than not, we succeed  ;D
