In B4 Macfag
I've been wanting to get back into PC gaming for a while, but with the loss of my PC laptop, I've been relegated to finding games for my Mac. I was wondering if anyone had some good suggestions for some cross-platform multiplayer games. Quote:I vote that we always type in different colors now. |

Diable 3 is supposed to have a mac client. Also Portal 2 I believe. I actually think Valve intends to have all their games on mac at some point.
Also I love mac laptops, so no insults from me. |

Asides from the obvious Source games, I know Torchlight 2's going to be both mac-compatible and cross-platform. Give me a while can I can pull up my full list of mac games.

Alright, so there's the Sam & Max series I highly recommend if you're a fan of point & click adventure games. The Assassin's Creed games are available on OSX, though I can't say anything about how well they run. The Bit.Trip games are simple yet good fun. Bastion and Cave Story are two must plays. Dungeons of Dredmor is a fun rouge-like, and Binding of Issac is simpler yet more fun (in my own opinion anyways). Torchlight and Trine are two games that begin with T, both are good. Super Meat Boy has hours of rage inducing entertainment. Penumbra, Limbo and Amnesia are games you should play at night. Dear Esther was just released on OSX (think it's still on sale). Then there's Killing Floor, because zombies.
I mean there's many more games I own that have osx versions, but those are just some of the few I recommend.

2.4mb sig ã(ಠâ¿â¿à² ã)      (â¯à² â¿â¿à² )â¯ï¸µbıs qɯ4Ë2 |
I'm finding Diablo 3 to be enjoyable. On the whole controversy my opinion is that I think they were trying to go the steam route where DRM isn't really DRM when it comes with enough benefits (insta-saving all your loot and stats, insta-saving your place at all check points, global chat and friend notifications, seamless change from single-player to multiplayer, having an item economy, not having hackers ruin multiplayer and the item economy, etc. You have no idea how many times I've enjoyed having a friend randomly pop into my game). However, their server issues screwed everything up. I think if they had the proper capacity and debugging at launch no one would be angry right now, but with the problems no one is confident enough right now to see the positives outweighing the negatives. |

Also there's no way its acceptable to be having 200-250 ms be standard ping acceptable to have a green bar. That's stupid. Especially on nightmare where certain mobs can one shot you without batting an eyelash. |

Is Diablo 3 like 2 where you can only be out in the world with 12 people at a time? And the only way to see the MMO part is in cities? Or is it 1 big free-for-all?

You can also browse the app store. I was looking through and it looks like the Civ games are all on there as well as most of the GTA games. There is also a decent collection of indie games like Amnesia and And Yet it Moves.

I hear there's a pretty decent game for mac called TF2, you might want to check it out.

Which model Mac are you using? I know TF2 runs alright on my 2010 MPB, Snow Leopard.

I'm really considering getting a civ game. I had one before and I miss it. As far as GTA goes the only one I want is 4, but it's not available on mac.
