So I've been messing with SourceTV trying to get it running on Server #2. SourceTV is basically an ai spectator that records ALL in game actions, so no more of this "I need a bitch to be cameraman" stuff. I'm not sure we'll keep it on, as it's been confusing the server and changing slots numbers several times. Hopefully I can get it all worked out, and it will NOT break reserved slots (see Caff for an explanation).
For an example of what you would get, check the auto-recorded demos here: http://captainmorgan.mit.edu/SourceTV/ Download a demo (try one of the larger ones, those might actually have people playing?) and save it to your tf directory, ie mine is: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\fuckduck\team fortress 2\tf Once you've done that, load up TF, and type 'playdemo demonamehere' I'm sure you're all very smart, you can figure it out. Give the demos a spin, and see if you like the results. Again, this is not a SURE thing (it's been a bit buggy with slots), but I'd like this to be a permanent thing. sorting through all those demos would be ridiculous, also make sure you don't run out of HDD space if you leave it on all the time

ya, rcon access to stop/record might be the best approach as a designated person could control it when needed rather than having it run all the time

I definitely would not leave it on autorecord, this was just a test to get some footage. Also, on a sidenote, I have not been able to get this to work with rcon. It seems like you can only start it directly from the machine (or through ssh).

really? so simply doing 'rcon record hithere' doesn't work?
that's assuming it's basically the same as HLTV |

Yep, pretty much. I always get "SourceTV not active," but if I run it from the machine's console, everything works out just fine. Could be me though, I never claimed to be good with these compyootars.

Got a config, but won't take effect until map change/restart.
That's about as useful as turning on autorecord. Ripped like paper raped with ease hey scrub nerd pyros suck on these
