Yea I turned on the television and there's a thunderstorm warning. I only caught the end of the scrolling bar but it said seek higher ground and don't drown?
I think it said something like don't turn around which I must have misread. It was the strangest warning bar I've ever seen though. |

>.>Â I've seen 4" or rain per hour for 5 hours before, "don't drown" was a perfectly appropriate sentiment.Â

Probably a flood warning, for people near rivers and low areas.

"If you hear thunder, you are close enough to get struck by lightning. Lightning is one of nature's number one killers." Been hearing that one a lot lately on the radio bulletins.
Also, "Do not drive your car through water covering the roadway. Cars can be carried away by (x) of water." What is it, a foot? I really like the text-to-speech package they have. That thing really sounds natural, and he says all our Louisiana parish names properly <3 . That probably took a bit of phoneticizing. |

I love thunderstorms. Everyone in my area shuts their computers off. My internet goes like 100x faster during thunderstorms.

I've been told domesticated turkeys will drown if left out in the rain. They stare up at it and the water just goes down their throats and they drown.
If it were raining 4"/hr for more than an hour, I'd actually believe it. :x "If you want to be a Double E, bend over and grab your knees...." "Atom is Sexy!" <-- Donate your own pic to the cause! Victory needs no explanation. Defeat allows none. -Sun Tzu |

This whole "don't drown" thing reminds me of the Mr. Show Rapist sketch. "Rapist coming, don't get raped."
