I'm having trouble finding a cheap, elegant solution for video compositing. Most of what I assume are the good solutions are locked down to Unix and Apple OS. I'm currently using Wax, but that lacks stream cropping, meaning I can't cut out snippets of objects within the program.

Any suggestions out there for one with a weak wallet?

The only thing I can think of are things like Smoke and Flame and their ilk. I know, not cheap, and also Linux.  Sad
